Name: Gitana
Age: 16
Group: Arrancar
Rank Within Group: Séptimo Espada
Birthday: 17th June
Physical Description:
A vibrant looking young woman, Gitana has middle-length vibrant violet hair that is straight at the top, but becomes wavy as it goes further down her body. Her most striking feature is her pair of viridian green eyes with heavy lashes that add a sensual look to her visage. Her face is smooth and unblemished, her appearance seeming quite petite for such an independent and confident girl. She has a few freckles dancing around her nose, and she is average sized for a woman, and slender, with an hourglass feature.
She wears her school’s uniform in school, though her tie is usually nowhere near her neck, and her blazer non-existent. Gitana likes to wear two white fishnet gloves, with a black stripe down the sides, and she wears heavy black boots with silver buckles. Her school bag is years old, and is often roughly slung across her shoulder. It is black, with a Gemini charm hanging from the zip, as well as a number of assorted key chains like skulls and the like.
Outside of school, Gitana often decks out in all her gothic/metal gear. She usually favours a black sleeve top, with neck straps and an illustration of a silver cross on the chest. There’s also a black, pleated skirt with a lace fringe, as well as knee high black boots.
Makeup wise, she usually goes with heavy black mascara and eyeliner, with red eye shadow and black lipstick. She doesn’t add as much as other girls do, and even less whilst at school.
Personality:
Gitana is a very prideful creature, and always strives to be the best at anything. She appears to be laid back when normally approached, though she lacks respect for her teachers, though funnily enough, she’s an A* student in English and art.
She is rather cunning and manipulative. She has a fascination with psychology and fear, which she often uses, along with theatrics and deception, to get her own way. Gitana doesn’t act very lady like, especially in a fight, and often plays dirty. She isn’t a person to trust, and be trusted, especially after certain instances at home. She has a huge hatred for drugs and alcohol, after what the two substances have done to her parents.
Gitana enjoys the creative side of life, writing, drawing, painting and playing the guitar. She enjoys rock music, and many types of the genre, including metal, alternative rock and grunge. She is currently looking for a band at school to join, since she is interested in performing, not only in school plays, but in concerts and such.
She is a vegetarian, since she cares a lot for animals, and would rather see a human die than any animal.
Personal History:
She had been born on the 17th June to a beautiful mother and father. She lived in England for the beginning years of her life, sibling-less, and seemingly content with everything about her. She was an excellent child, only throwing one tantrum, and doing the absolute best she could at school. She loved reading and writing, and seemed to revel in the fantasy stories written by many famous authors.
Unfortunately, her life took a downward spiral when, at the age of eight, her father hit the bottle. Hard. He was soon diagnosed to be an alcoholic, and to have bipolar disorder. The angry attitude he carried with him whenever he went meant hell for Gitana and her mum at first, as he’d often lash out at them.
Her mum became depressed, and started to mimic her father’s actions, but on a far more severe root – drugs. They lost all their money, and had to move from their beautiful countryside home to the downtown of a sprawling city.
Gitana kept up her grades and cheerful attitude at school, and soon spent more time there than at home. Education and learning was the only sanctuary she got from her parents, whom did not hurt her, though they often ignored her or verbally abused her. She tried to be optimistic, keeping a bright face to her friends and the other members of her family, who were very much concerned about the young teen.
Through all this, however, Gitana loved her parents very strongly, and, though many people caught on what was happening at home and tried to adopt her, she vehemently refused, believing that she could save her parents from the hole they had planted themselves in. A futile, child’s hope, but it was the only thing she had to keep her going. Her friends and teachers however, noticed the strain that the girl seemed to be succumbing under, and she spent more and more time buried in her fantasy books, wishing to live life in a different and brighter world.
Her family tried to take her hiking through the countryside as much as they could; they knew how much she missed the area where she used to live. She often spun tales as they walked, entertaining her younger cousins with bizarre stories of fairies and demons. Of course, the older relatives grew concerned as her stories were often morbid and bizarre, further showing that inside, Gitana was close to a mental breakdown.
When she was thirteen, they took her to a psychiatrist; at this point, Gitana rarely spoke to her parents, fearing, and feeling disgusted by them and their behaviour. She barely slept or ate, her own depression dragging her down to a dark path, further influenced as her friends started experimenting with cigarettes and drugs. The psychiatrist was sympathetic, and was another person to suggest adoption. And to everyone’s shock, Gitana accepted.
However, Gitana wanted to put her past behind her, to leave the two people she had grown to hate. Thus, she moved to Japan, where some of her family worked and lived there, and she was able to fully let go.
Then she joined the Espada, a notorious gang, and quickly became the seventh member. After the transfer, she found herself at her new school.
