Name: Takahashi Masaru
Age: 15
Group: Shinigami
Rank Within Group: Vice Captain
Birthday: June 14th
Physical Description:
Takahashi Masaru seems to tower above his peers though he is generally non-threatening in appearance because he is very thin and lanky. His face is most often bright and cheerful and gives off a friendly welcoming feeling. It is plain to see by the way he looks at people that he enjoys the company of others a great deal. The most noticeable characteristic about Masaru is his full head of hair that seems to sprout out in every direction. It catches the eye of many because it is black with flashes of very bright red. He explains to most that his hair is dyed, but this is not really the case. His hair also seems to grow forwards into his face rather than back or to the side. To prevent his hair from obscuring his sight, he wears bandanas that he ties across his forehead. Sometimes he wears them as skull caps, but this is only when he can trust his hair to not stick out every which way when he does.
His deep hazel eyes are always bright and they seem to laugh at everything he looks at. When he is sad, the brightness seems to melt away like ice to reveal a flat dimness that is almost alarming to anyone that knows Takahashi well. Outside school however most never catch a glimpse of his eyes because he wears dark sunglasses with comical bright yellow rims. No one really knows why he feels the need to wear them, not even Takahashi. He always removes them when he is having a serious conversation, or when something of consequence is happening. It is important to him that people see his eyes at times like this.
Personality: Masaru possesses a very friendly disposition. His carefree attitude and sense of humor is like a breath of fresh air, and as long as he is in a good mood, he can lighten the ambience of any room. He tends to carry his heart on his sleeve; he is hardly ever upset, so when he does become upset, it is very obvious to everyone around him.
He has a big heart, and he feels that it has room enough for everyone. He would befriend the whole world if he could, and would even take in the heartless as close friends if it were possible.
He is a peacekeeper to all ends and is always the last to attack in a fight, but once he is involved, he will fight to his last breath. He feels that all people need a good reason to fight. His reason is his friends. He loves people, all of them. He protects everyone, and is willing to die for complete strangers as long as he feels their intentions are good. That is why he fights. When he fights he does so to protect. When he is protecting friends, it is so that he can see them smile one more time. When he is protecting strangers, it is so that he can maybe laugh with them one day.
Despite his carefree and childish nature, Masaru deep down has a low sense of self-worth. He feels sometimes that he is just another person. He still struggles to discover the answers to the mysteries of his past, and the mysteries of the present. He rarely talks about these things with other people however: he keeps such thoughts locked away.
when asked for favors, Masaru can be rather sluggish. He in truth is a lazy bum, and will sigh and groan about the simplist of tasks. Actually, he complains the most about the easiest favors. He doesn't like getting up unless he absolutly has too. He also has a bad memory. He feels that he could never truly forget his friends or their faces, but he is known to break promises. It is not that he disregaurds them, but they always seem to slip his mind. He always feels horrible about broken promises and tries to make it up as well as he can. He has quite the guilty consciense when it comes to promises. He often tries to avoid making them to begin with.
When it comes to romance, Masaru is quite the sap. He rarely recognizes love until it slaps him in the face, and even then he's a bit clueless. But, when he does see it and feel it for himself, he would be very devoted. Friendship is more important to him however, and most of his crushes are disregaurded as him thinking he wants a new friend. He also feels that if relationships don't work out, you should always still try to be friends. He is not the jealous type, and mostly would just want to have fun. He enjoys casual dates, but he can also be serious if needed.
Masaru enjoys the company of animals and children quite a lot. He respects all older siblings more than the younger ones however and would much rather hang out with the big sister or big brother than the younger child. He had alot of experience with being the oldest growing up, and always likes to show that not all the attention is always focused on the younger kids.
